Welcome to the Germ Pool

United States

So school has started....yippie me!! But so comes the new germ pool we are now swimming in. It seems like the first month back no one really feels well. Well this morning my daughter loaded on the bus and then the bus came back 5 minutes later because she threw up everywhere. I have noticed other people at work with school aged children saying they aren't feeling so hot either. So .....how many people, parents, families are feeling well since school started? Has anyone gotten sick since school started? Where is the hand saniitizer and lysol??? What ways to you prepare yourself to keep everyone healthy once school starts?

Flu vaccine. The school here starts in June and it's also the rainy season in my country and the flu season as well.

I am one of those people who get really sick off the flu vaccine, but we stay pretty healthy during the summer months here at home. How long your rainy season last? Hope it doesn't have a lot of flooding.

@toniganzon Spring would be our rain season and we would have to worry about flooding mainly do to all the rivers and creeks in the area.

@kprofgames There's no flooding in the place where my home is located so we don't worry abut such. Rainy season is three months I think but it doesn't rain all the time.

Yes love juices. We drink them often at home. Orange juice I need to water down a bit. Can tear up my stomach.

This is something I haven't heard about in 40 years of teaching. I wonder how you talk about school with your children? School started last Monday where I live. The pupils I talked to look forward to the new term.

We love our school here and my children look forward to it too, sadly not everyone has the common practice of washing their hands. Especially in children, it's important because they touch everything.

oh then it only spreads once get everyone in close quarters. I hope it stays contained and doesn't spread. We had the influenza flue hit a school district. This was several years back but think 30% of the school came down with it. Nasty stuff. Feels like you have been run over by a truck, then it backed up over you again.
