This week has gone by very quickly, as usual. Monday, I ran some errands and cleaned house. Tuesday, I typed up some letters and got several ready to mail, along with some post cards. And then on my way to my Christian meeting Tuesday evening, I went by the post office to mail everything. My great grandson came home with me Tuesday night from the meeting and spent all day Wednesday at my house. My daughter, who has legal custody of him, has made Wednesdays her day to take care of things that she needs to do, so I volunteered to let her grandson stay with me on Wednesdays. He is 14 years old and home-schooled, so he does his lessons online and then I am teaching him to play the piano. He also helps me do some things around the house. He filled all the bird feeders. And he did a few things outside that needed done. He's very handy to have around and he doesn't mind helping me with things. Yesterday, I had a friend over for brunch and we enjoyed discussing the Bible for a while. Then, I had to go to the chiropractor Thursday afternoon and of course, I stopped at my favorite pharmacy to purchase some more post cards. After, that I went by the post office to check my mail and there were 5 postcards there for me. Three from Germany. One from Prague, Ceska Republika and one from France. I love receiving the post cards since I joined Postcrossing.com. I also mailed out 4 more post cards and some more cards and letters. I enjoy sending Get Well cards and Friendship Cards to my friends and family to let them know that I'm thinking of them. Of course, I’m still making progress on cleaning out my “home office”. I gathered up the last of all the paperwork that needed to be shredded. Now, all those file cabinets and drawers and boxes of contracts and profiles and order forms are all cleaned out finally. It feels so good to have all that gone, and I will never have to think about all that paperwork again. Today, I will be doing some laundry and cleaning out at least one closet. I’m getting rid of a lot of my clothes that are too big, since I’ve lost almost 60 pounds. I’m going to make sure the clothes are all laundered and ready for the Yard Sale. If the Yard Sale doesn’t happen, I will call my friend who takes things to the Flea Market and let him haul all this stuff away. I will wait and see, if my granddaughter is going to have her Yard Sale, but before I leave for a week at the beach in October, all these things are going to be out of this house, one way or the other. No wonder this week went by fast. I try to stay busy and get things done. Besides all that I mentioned, of course, I’m working on my other projects too. And I’m here on mylot, trying to keep that going. Now, that I’m retired, I am enjoying filling up my days with things that I have WANTED to get done for several years now and just haven’t had the time. I’m especially happy that I’ve found all my poetry and have had the time to retype all of it and put it all in a notebook. The weather, by the way, is beautiful here today and has been all week. The hurricanes have not caused us any problems here in Virginia, but I'm still praying for all those who have been affected by these terrible storms. So many are now homeless. Clean-up teams are everywhere, trying to restore power and remove toxic debris. This will be a ongoing effort and things will never be the same in those areas. My heart goes out to all those people. So, what have you been doing all week?

This week sort of slipped by me. I think it's because I am getting used to my own company and with my cat keeping me busy too we get through the weeks fairly easily now.

I hope you are getting along well, and being by yourself is not too stressful.

I like to stay busy but today is Saturday and I think I will just rest a bit and enjoy the day. The sun is shining and the sky is a beautiful BLUE. The temperature is in the low 80s F.

You have certainly been busy. I always feel really good when I reorganise a cupboard or drawer and get rid of things I don't need.

Some days I just rest, but this has been a busy week. It's Saturday today and I don't have anything planned. I will rest up a bit and maybe watch a good movie tonight.

I don't know. The week just zoomed past I think with routines. Sometimes I think I am just a robotic part of a bigger machine.

A person can get into a routine and weeks fly by without realizing it. It used to be like that with me. My schedule was planned out weeks in advance all the time and I had to keep track of so many details. I'm so happy to be retired now.

@YrNemo I've certainly been enjoying my retirement. I won't feel completely retired though until I get all my projects done, but I am moving right along with that.
