People are rude nowadays

So I was calling a legal firm to ask for vacancy for a clerk. The lawyer picked up the phone and loudly shout "what do you want?". I said I was looking for a job and she said come here for interview first. And I said I will call back. In my heart I wonder why she is so rude on the first place, it immediately stops my initiative to work with the office.
Another case is I called up the market research company which I been doing freelancing for 10 years. Suddenly the supervisor acted rudely and doesn't reply my SMS. Sigh...

too bad so many people are not realizing everyone is not the fault of some problem they have. looks like you have come upon lots of those lately. so sorry. they all need someone like my daughter that often tells me, don't be rude with that one on the phone. its not their fault. it is their companies fault. they are just doing their job.
i wish you to have better people less rude to deal with from now on.

I have tried many times, and encounter this situation before, normally they will be kind in interviews and then being very bossy on the working time.
