Here's a 2 for 1 - 2 film reviews in 1 post detailing movies that are similar to each other. "Moon" (2009) - Astronaut Sam Bell is stationed solitary on the moon, mining Helium 3 to ship back to earth for fuel. His assistant is a big box shaped computer named Gerty. (Brilliantly voiced by Kevin Spacey) Sam Bell is nearing the end of his 3 year contract as he makes a rather bleak discovery. His mission on the moon may not be what it appears to be. Fun factoid: the director of "Moon" is David Bowie's son. "Moon" trailer : "Sunshine" (2007) - the earth's sun is burning out and a team of astronauts heads up to the sun to deliver an atomic bomb to rekindle the sun, or else humanity will freeze. The first mission failed. The second ship took all of earth's remaining resources to build. The second ship (interestingly named Icarus- after the mythological figure who flew too close to the sun) - must succeed. Along the way there are disasters and a pit stop at the first mission. A mysterious figure sabotages the ship. The special effects are stunning and the characters are interesting. Of particular note Cillian Murphy as one of the "brains" on the ship and the ship itself as voiced by Chipo Chung. Have you seen either? What did you think? Both trailers look good. I particularly like Moon. Where did you see them? Or did you buy them?

@kobesbuddy I've re-watched it many times - however the first time is always the most powerful

With regards to the movie sunshine, the reason why the first mission failed because one of their crew became insane and turned terrorist.
