In Kolkata there is a new trend of making pandals of Durga Puja with a specific theme. But in Bagbazar Durgapuja as main objective is to create faith and devotion to Goddess Durga, the pandals are very traditional. It is made with white cloth. A fair is held in the field adjacent to Durga Puja Pandal.
