Can you be friends with your ex?

There is this common saying that goes,frienship can lead to love but not love to friendship. Do you agree with that? Can you be friends with your ex?

Why not? I think there is nothing wrong with being friends with your ex as long as there is no hurt feelings between the two of you..

I guess it depends on the people. I know a lot of people who are friends with their ex and even some who have later married them for a second time.
