Should illegal immigrants be granted automatic citizenship?

I think illegal immigrants should not be granted automatic citizenship because it's making the average American citizens harder to take advantage of the benefits that the citizens of the united states have fought for in which illegal immigrants never participated in. What do you think?

I feel that for any country the first and foremost priority is it's citizens and their safety . So when asylum is granted they need to be thoroughly checked especially after what has been happening in Europe.

I believe that a country should screen them first and see if they can maintain them. Give them jobs too before citizenship.

They should first be throughly screened first to weed out bad elements then evaluated if they have somerhing good to contribute to make it fair for natural born citizens.
