Any Rory Gallagher fans in the house?

I love the G man. I only started listening to him about 7 years ago. He doesn't get much airplay over here. I wonder if it is because he was Irish. He toured the States loads of times back in the 70s and 80s. He played my home town, but I was 10 at the time, so that was another boat I missed. Any one lucky enough to see him live? Anyone get to meet him? Meant to have been a lovely man by all accounts. Sadly passed away over 20 years ago.

The came out the other year. It is just fantastic. Rory's playing is incredible and he looks so damn good! I try to concentrate on his player, but he is smoking hot in this.

@TiarasOceanView I want to go back in time, take some home made cakes, go backstage, sit down with rory, give him a cake, tell him I worry about him being on the road and what he eats and invite back to mine for a irish stew (being a bit Irish and all that, I'll play on this). Then I'll let him see all my books and mention that I also have a guitar... That's the plan!!! I want to go back and save Rory and look after him. He needed a wife!

scott I knew you wouldn't let me down! You were the guy I was thinking of! I knew you would have seen him live. Yes indeed over 20 now. I would of loved to have seen him. If you haven't watched Taste live at the 1970 Isle of Wight festival dvd I recommend it. It was amazing.

Rory was great. I have several dvds too. That's the closest I can get to seeing him play that guitar.
