During the past years, it is just typical for me to post my political views in social networking sites, particularly in Facebook and Twitter, even if my views are critical to the administration or the decisions or moves of politicians. In your case, do you also post your political views in social networking sites?

I have seen that divide people in a country, boosting hatred and leading to war.

I think it would be worse if people will not criticize the elected officials for their bad actions as it will lead to abuses of power.

It's ok, but I hate it when people exaggerate.

Yes, I think people should be encouraged to voice their views and participate in polity to make politicians more careful in their actions. And since we are in a democratic country and the power on the elected is vested by the people, it is just right that politicians prioritize public interest over the personal interest.

oH NEVER, I never post my views on political stuff online especially social media sites. Will get in trouble when the government sectors check on FB and whatsapp.

from what country are you? i think it would mostly depend on the country, type of government and type of leaders in position whether people will have guts to post their political views.

@maximaoliveros Malaysia. Some people talked about politics on FB and whatsapp, they were caught by police and tracked them down. So, better refrain, after all Malaysia is a Muslim country too.

I post my political views on all my social media sites. First of all, in America we have freedom of speech. If we do not exercise those freedoms, they will be taken away. Secondly, it is just the beginning in holding our politicians accountable. Thirdly, it sparks debate and research. We can learn from each other or at the least, others comments will spur us to do our homework and support our arguments strongly. Lastly, your true friends will still love you, even in the midst of disagreement. If you throw a relationship away because of a political disagreement, it was not built on the right things to begin with.
