Numbers up, numbers down

I got off my computer to go take a shower and was thinking about how I hoped my earnings number will go UP on myLot. At the same time I was stepping on the scale hoping my weight number would have gone DOWN. That got me thinking about numbers. You want the numbers of a hurricane to go down (Category 5 is strong, Category 1 is weak) and the numbers of an earthquake to be low (you can't even feel a magnitude 1 while a magnitude 5 can shake you up). You want the temperature in the room to go down in the summer and up in the winter. You want your salary number to go up and your tax number to go down. Can you think of any other opposites like this?
