Pups on the cleared path

When I mention that I am out mowing weeds, this is the ground that I go to. Sally and Leah and I were about to walk out to see if the mail had been delivered yet so they have chain collars and leashes on. They helped me check out how much work I'd actually done. I had carved out a path down to a board bench earlier. Its nice to not have to wade through thorny weeds !

Ouch! Thorny weeds would not be my ideal way of traveling either! The dogs are so cute!

@sallypup You should see the section of weeds I pulled all spring and summer. It's good exercise if nothing else. lol Tell the pups they are very welcome!

Those yellow blossoms look pretty, what are they? Leah sure is pretty. Does Sally stay close to you when ever you're walking to the mailbox? I noticed ya only got part of her head in this shot.

So Leah is more trustworthy than Sally @sallypup ? That's a great shot of Sally. Man, you have a lot of foliage. Around here if there's foliage it's usually filled with teeny stickers that I could do without, those blasted things get into Ally's feet and I hate to see her hurt.

@rebelann Sally is a Blue Heeler. She is calming as she ages and yet, there is that wildness that is just her DNA. Settle down and walk by my side? Got other things to do. Both Leah and Sally walk by the human's side cause of our work together. Neither dog takes hubby too seriously- he's more a push over than me. Yup. I'm mean.

The yellow is sagebrush, @rebelann. I'll give you another photo. I've worked with Sally to know to heel by our side. She's not so great at that with hubby but she does know.

@jstory07 I agree. They love the freedom to run around. If we end up moving to a smaller place, both pups will have trouble getting used to regular yard space.

You did a lot getting that cleared. Nice looking dog. I imagine the one not seen well in the pic is also a good looking dog.

Would be nice if we did have some magic wands, which made those weeds gone, mown etc neat & tidy within seconds .

@YrNemo A magic wand would be handy. With one of those I wouldn't be so liable to get hit with flying weeds and rocks.

@YrNemo The property has gotten away from me for sure. Its been so hot. Now that the temps are cooling I am trying to do at least some of what needs done.

They are enjoying the clear space...The weeds have pretty yellow flowers though
