This got me thinking earlier a girl at work who is in her mid 20s rarely goes to the doctor for a checkup. This girl who stands scratchig her yooha at work, claiming shes in pain, and has all these issues. I asked her when was the last time she got a full checkup (blood preassure, blood work and exam). Her response was never. This shocked me. I go several times a year for blood work, etc. A exam every 3 years unless comes back irregular. This girl saw no problems if why she should go to the doctor. My parents never went to the doctors and now they have so many issues, and denying it. My sister has never got an exam and always wonder if something is happening/ uneducated. I know its up to the individual to take themselves and be proactive. I just cant wrap myself why youd ignore an issue

It's been a while since I've been to the doctor. It's been maybe 2 years. So i might be due for a heck up soon. I haven't had to many issues, but if there was a problem, like I was I was in pain or something, I would have gone to the doctors already.

A "heck up"? Is that when they find something wrong?

I used to get regular checkups but haven't had one in a few years. Now that I've moved, I should look for a new doctor who will probably want to do a checkup first. They usually do. As for your "friend" I'd strongly urge her to see a doctor. If she hasn't one, there are walkin clinics.

I am very healthy and I do go to the Doctor every year for a check up. You never know it is better to be safe than sorry.

Frankly speaking the last time I had a full medical checkup was before I had my son, that was 12 years ago. My hubby also didn't have any medical checkup too. The fees are high and not claimable from the insurance. That is why we don't go for checkups.

Regular doctor? I go for my physical every year which I have to get bloodwork done the week before. Besides that, I only go when I have something wrong. Which is maybe 1-2 times a year. Female doctor? Once a year for my annual check up.
