Some good news to report on this Sunday which has been marred by the news reports of tragic events round our part of the globe for a change. North Carolina National Guard Staff Sergeant Cory Hinkle is being called a hero for saving the life of Brandy Guin who was involved in a head on collision with another auto on Monday in Shelby North Carolina. Sergeant Hinkle served in Iraq where he cleared roadside bombs. He was blessed that he was able to come back from Iraq alive despite having one bomb blow up near him in Iraq. Hinkle and another unidentified man pulled out Brandy from an auto that was on fire before it exploded. Hinkle was struck in the foot by a piece of flying metal. Guin suffered a broken ankle in the accident but she is forever thankful for Sergeant Hinkle for saving her life. Now that is a real hero for you. Take that sports stars.
