A Good Day at Church

We visited another church this morning, not because we are moving our membership, but because my husband filled the pulpit. The interim pastor was out, so my husband got to fill in for him. I miss hearing Ronnie preach on a regular basis, so that was nice. I greatly enjoyed the service this morning, though, for another simple reason. The lights were all on. The church of which we are members is one of those that are into this modern "make the church seem like a concert hall" with all the lights down except for those shining on the stage. Don't get me wrong. I like modern music, but the low lights are not too bright of an idea. First of all, the teens all sit together in the dark. I doubt they are all paying attention. Secondly, for those with bad eyes, it is painful to sit through these services. I know that this may be unimportant, but for those like me with damaged eyes (result of diabetes), little things like light are a big deal. I guess this proves true the statement, "Its the little things that make the difference".

"Its the little things that make the difference" I find myself getting irritated with all the "noise" that drons out the song that are being sung in church. Will admit thought sometimes it's just bad equipment but on occasion it's just plain noise.
