12 weeks until Christmas

I just read a newsletter from Lion Brand Yarn, and they announced their "12 weeks of Christmas Celebration". It's so fast that there are only 12 weeks until Christmas.
Though we do not really celebrate Christmas, I always like to make some crafts and have some activities together with my kids since I have become a mom. Every year, I was rushing for this and always ended up with lots of last minute work. So, I decided to start early this year. It's time for me to plan what to do for the coming Christmas, and start working on some knitting or crocheting work. I suggested my elder kids to make some Christmas gifts for their friends too, since they are old enough now and that's also a way to encourage my eldest son to practice his knitting skill. 
Have you started planning for Christmas yet? Are you making any crafts?

@celticeagle When you mentioned May, I thought there will be a big festival and you have to get ready for it.

I have been getting ideas. I was trying to save up my gift cards for Christmas presents, but I will be spending them soon on some new shoes for me. 
I have been making a latch hook rug, but I won't be through with it by Christmas. I doubt I will giving it away.
