How much polite are you?

I know that culturally things can be very different and that's why I posted this discussion. Has any situation or anyone ever made you stop to think about it? A lack of a "thank you", "you're welcome", "please" or any other of those well-known magic words?

We really need to appreciate all the help we receive and return the favor if we can, some of the things they have

I err on the safer side. Better to be polite to make a better world as that is infectious and, sadly, the opposite is also true - siva

All the time I think about why can't people say thank you or please enough. When I let someone go by when I am on my scooter most do not say anything so there are times I will say you are welcome and they still ignore me. I feel good that I did it. It is the ones that do thank me catch me off guard and I am not expecting it.

I see to it to say thank you. Or I'm sorry. Those are simple magic words but they can either ease someone's pain or bring a smile to a person too
