Been outside for several hours putting the garden to bed. Old pepper plants etc in the composter. Pulling out dead summer bedding plants. Still a lot more to do, but it is a start. Ready to start up up again in April when it is seed planting time. How of us here have gardens we have to pack up for the winter?

And would you believe it I had forgotten about the plants in the spare bedroom that need to be sorted out... then there is the tomato plants that are still producing fruit, but will need to go soon, so really I haven't finished yet at all. That was part one of the putting the garden to bed.

@TiarasOceanView fly papers! I use fly paper to catch all the flies otherwise they are all over the house. Works a treat.

All the best for your work. I understand it's a lot of hard work but I'm sure it makes you happy too.

It does yes but I was a bit disappointed the peppers kept rotting. A lot of work went into those and I didn't get that many peppers out of it.

@Sophia427 The tomatoes are great. I have a huge crop of those every year. Next year I'm going to try carrots again as those didn't work out - too tiny. didn't really grow.

@SerenityEngel O ok, That would be disappointing for you after so much hard work you had put it. But all those rotten peppers went back into the soil to form compost. That would have served as good input for soil and might help you in getting better peppers next year.

We don't have a garden. There's nowhere to put it here.
