The college football world is sad today since former Purdue University football coach Joe Tiller who coached the Boilermakers football program from 1997-2008 and the University of Wyoming from 1991-1996 passed away from an illness on Saturday in his home in Buffalo Wyoming. Tiller coached current New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Drees in 2000 when the Boilermakers won the Big Ten Conference Title and went to play in the 2001 Rose Bowl losing to the Washington Huskies. Tiller will be best remembered by the Boilermakers family as the coach that turned around their football program from Big Ten Conference dormats to contenders during his 12 seasons in West Lafayette Indiana.

10 bowl game invites in 12 years at Purdue is an impressive college record.

Tiller had a great record of coaching at Purdue with 10 bowl invitations in 12 seasons at Purdue, That is very good for a school in the Midwest region.
