Moon viewing day

I woke up this morning to Facebook wishing me "happy moon viewing." At 5:30 a.m. I didn't quite get it, but tonight I walked out of the house to put the trash out and was greeted by clouds racing across a beautiful full moon! I really did have a moon viewing, though not in the traditional Japanese way with mochi and susuki grass decorations!
In Japanese folk tales, there is a rabbit in the moon, pounding mochi (sticky rice paste.) So one of the symbols of autumn and harvest moon is a rabbit.
Happy moon viewing to you! How did you view this beautiful full moon?

I enjoy going out and looking at the moon and stars at night.

It is still dark out, so I will step out the door and look around. However, we had full cloud cover last night and I think we may have the same this morning.--As I suspected, no moon,no sun, but drizzle very lightly.

The moon here is also beautiful, eventhough the night sky is cloudy. I think I will just watch the moon for some minutes as I have quite lots of work to do now.
