2 Screws and a dime

Still finding screws and nails in the yard, but today I found the granddaddy of them all. Five and a quarter inches long! I put the other screw and dime in for size comparison. Some of the screws and nails are in good enough shape to use but most are beyond it. This one just needs a scrubbing and it should be good to go. Go where, I don't know, but it could.

What happened to make it so that you have so many screws and nails in the yard? Was a building torn down on your lot?

No, but the house was reroofed and sided, and had windows replaced all in the last 10 years. Guess the guys were just sloppy, and the guy renting here before me was lax in the yardwork department.

@BarBaraPrz , I see. Then you need to be pretty careful walking around barefoot. Until you get those nails at least buried under the soil so that way they can just stay put.

Perhaps the workers who were there previously should have cleaned up a little better.
