Taking pictures of the moon

Tonight the moon looks so beautiful up in the night sky. I wanted to take some pictures of it and show them to my friends. Then, I took its picture using my tablet. But the result was disappointing. The moon looks so ugly and blurry in the picture. It also looks so small as if it is not the moon but only a small lamp.
Do you like capturing the picture of the moon?

Ha ha.. There is only one moon and everyone can see it. It doesn't belong to anyone, I think. 
Here the moon looks big and bright, too. But in the picture it looks totally different.

@A_loves_B Yes it looks like we made a black cardboard and cut a hole in it. I really like the camera's today because they do take some good shots but I too experience this on sunrises and sunsets. It shows but doesn't really capture. You can't have the man in the moon, he's mine.

@Bluedoll Ha ha.. I guess we really need special camera to shoot moon pictures. Well, talking about the man in the moon, I don't have any interest at all to have him.

You will be required to use a good DSLR camera with high powered lenses to capture images of moon. Mobile phone camera or tablet camera may not be able to capture good images of moon.
PS - I captured the accompanying picture with a DSLR camera.
