Watching planes, who has not dreamed of doing that? The Internet is awash with information about what is flying whom from where to where else. The plane on its way to take us for the short 45min hop to our destination at 2:10pm today was in Alicante earlier this morning. It has just cleared the tip of the Old Man's Willy, that Scottish peninsula into the nook of which the isle of Arran nestles, like a lone testicle... I wonder if I'll find one of those Spanish sweet wrappers wedged between the seat cushions...?

Believe it or not I have not. Planes do nothing for me. Now if it's an eagle or hawk or owl then yeah, I'd love to see those soaring overhead, they are magnificent. So, yer gonna look twixt the seat cushions? You are soooo brave

I have been known to find the odd teaspoon in between the seat cushions - in the days when Airlines actually let you have metal spoons...

You mean they don't anymore @pgntwo ? I haven't flown since 1979 and don't intend to ever again. I can't recall if I was even served anything to eat.

@rebelann As a general rule, no - although transatlantic flights do have a better class of service on the major airlines. Or unless you travel Business or First on shorter sectors, perhaps.

No, just some potato crisp (or chip in the USA) fragments on the floor...

I am not fascinated by planes, I think I have traveled so many hours that I had more than enough of planes. I love Spain and I would surely love to spend a week in Marbella, doing nothing, but enjoying nice food, drinks and walking.

A week or ten days, with guaranteed sunshine every day, is well worth the effort.

What a graphic imagination you have! Describing geographic locations after anatomical parts. !

You have seen the top right quadrant of the map-side of the first series €2 coin...?

No, the flight was barely at cruising altitude when we started the descent - 30 mins take-off to landing. Sweetie-hunting usually sets in about 50mins into a flight for me...

Is it flightradar ? I have a personal preference for private jets with no flight plan displayed (Falcon, Gulfstream, Bombardier, Cessna...), I have followed some from Europe to China or South-Korea. When the evening comes, those going from Russia to London, Nice or Paris for dinner are interesting too. There are also a few large private Russian planes, owned by people wanting to invite their friends. On Fridays evenings (starting now), something classical is the dance of private jets going to/taking of from Israel to spend Shabat.
