Another Painting Completed!

So I started this one out as sort of a live stream video to show people how I start my paintings... it ended up turning into this. My painting style is weird and tends to be sort of grotesque and creepy, but there are many who enjoy it, just as many enjoy horror movies and dark things in general. I love painting with oil paints, it's my favorite! Though the camera on my phone doesn't take the best photos What do you ladies and gents think?

I'm glad to hear that you have fans who like your style. I don't watch horror films and I wouldn't like to have this painting near me.

Thank you! Everyone has their own tastes and preferences. I love to paint scary things, it's helps to release stress and negative emotions for me, If I go a long time without painting, I tend to become bitter and irritable haha

@MALUSE You remind me of my mother when my grandfather made a painting with a skull for me. She couldn't stand seeing it in my room and eventually she replaced it with a landscape, another painting my grandpa made. He's more into landscapes anyway, but that skull was a well thought gift.

To each their own! I used to do oils but had to stop due to some health issues, plus that stuff is expensive!!!!! This would for sure give me nightmares but I think my OWN nightmares might be an inspiration for you? ;) If I paint I just use regular house paint for my murals. I have Wolves running down the hall and a leapord hanging out on a tree branch in the kitchen!

Hmmm, I want to take a guess that the health issues might be related to breathing in turpentine? or maybe an allergy to the oils themselves? I don't want to pry because it's not my business but I want to make sure that I don't end up with any health issues from it too haha... Wow that all sounds really cool! I prefer doing mural work for non-profits and businesses, I find enjoyment in my art affecting the outside world

@Mr_Anomaly Nah, its all good! I was born with Cystic Fibrosis and had a double lung transplant in 2004. So, I decided that oils with the fumes n what not were probably not the best medium for me to work in! It's why I also cut out most of the pastels because of the find dust it creates. Regular house paint though.. as long as I have all the fans running I'm ok plus, easier to clean up with just water. I'm an open book so... you can ask anything :)

It feels like I've seen you painting that. Oh wait, I did. I like this, you did a superb job with the background. And I know you worked on that later. I'm a little unsure about the tongue. But it's okay, I mean, not all monsters are supposed to clean their nostrils.

I like it! I follow a horror art group on Facebook where people share their artwork (usually when they offer it for sale or are just trying to network,) this would fit right in. You sure are talented!
