Here's another "similar movies" post where you get 2 movie reviews in 1 post. :-)  Seeing as my reviews have been a bit, well, dark - lately I thought I would write about comedy for a change.   "Big Bully" (1996) --   A small town kid moves to the big city and becomes a struggling author.  His personal life falling apart, he decides to return to his hometown with his son, after being offered a teaching job at his very own old highschool.   He reconnects with old friends, and old enemies.  While he delights in the company of his old pals - his old bully also works at the school.  At first there are innocent pranks, and then... not so innocent.   In the meantime the bully's child is an underdog and the underdog's child is a bully in a bit of a turn about.  Will the kids be able to teach the adults to play well together?   "Mr. Woodcock" (2007) --  A small town kid, leaves for the big city and becomes a big time self-help author.  When he returns home, he finds that his tough no-nonsense highschool gym coach is not only still in town, but is dating his mom.  This is the guy who quasi-terrorized him as a kid. His mom loves this guy , Mr.Woodcock.   However our author friend is sure that he knows that Woodcock is up to no good.  Will the self-help author be able to follow his own advice in the company of someone who brings out the very worst in him?  Both are hilarious, check 'em out for a laugh.  Here's the trailer for "Big Bully"
The neighborhood bully and his favorite victim meet again years later, as adults. Will age make a difference or has nothing changed?
