Our main pipe located outside the house had been leaking for years. The tap was loose because we had to open and close the tap everyday since the roof top water tank pump was faulty. Keeps leaking . We didn't fix it either. We could call the plumber or buy the parts and replace them on our own but we didn't because when it leaks, we just turn off the main tap outside. I guessed that the water reader chap had noticed of our leaking pipe. SO he made a report and got some contractors to fix the leaking pipe and cemented the bottom to ensure the land is firm. Our roof water tank was fixed too. The best part is everything is FREE OF CHARGE!! So, we saved money on the plumbing and my monthly water bill were just USD$5 or less for the past few years. my photo

it is good the pipe is now repaired. it will be costly if your water bills rise up due to the leaks.

yes, even though it leaks daily, I just turn off the main tap outside the house, then the water will not flow in. No more leaking.

@peachpurple We had plumbing problems, to the tune of $1,000 a few years back! We had to replace all the old pipes, underneath our house! Thanks to my son Chad, we paid absolutely no labor, or it would have cost a lot more:(
