How Deep Is Your Faith?

Last night we had a stormy weather. Strong winds and heavy rains can be felt. Being a survivor of a super typhoon Haiyan that devastated my hometown in 2013, I can't sleep. My mind wonders of what could be happening in the next hours. Morning came. There's no more rain, no winds but a gloomy sky. Everyone is back into each own business. I walked out of the house and played with the dogs. My Dad was in his garden, and that's when I noticed something beautiful. A blooming rose bud. It stands up proud looking up the sky. And I was amazed. Last night's storm didn't break this beautiful bud but instead, it continues to stand amidst the heavy downpour and winds. Like life, there's always hope in every difficult situation if you have a faith in yourself. How deep is your Faith? I'm not talking about your faith in religion but faith in yourself. How confident you are in yourself. They say, prayers can move mountain. I believe in miracles. But there is still one thing that we should do, stand and believe in ourselves. We can't pass an exam if we only pray, we need to study. We can't find work if we rely on miracles, we need to submit resumes and pass the job interviews. Failure is a part of success. You can only succeed if you have faith in yourself that you can make it. The rose bud prayed for a miracle last night but it also had a faith in itself that no matter what, it will stand tall until the storm pass. Tomorrow is going to be a new day.
