Not Goodbye, But See You Later.

The stars came out last night just like they always do. The sun rose in the sky today and did it without you. The tears run down my face when the memories flood my mind. Then I think of all the moments we had and those you left behind. As I sit here and think of all the things we never got to say. I realise that we should express our feelings each and every day. I know that the time we have on earth is not promised to a soul. And that there will be times when my heart will have a hole. There will be times when thinking of you won't bring a tear to my eye. There will be times when remembering you will not make me cry. I know that you're in a better place and you're watching from above. I know you knew when you left you were surrounded by your families love. So today instead of saying goodbye to you like I am supposed to. I will say that I'll see you later when my time is up and I do. Till then mommy make sure you help the stars shine bright. As I will be looking up to the skies to make sure you do at night. Candice Nel This is the poem I wrote to read at my mom's funeral. I decided to share it with all of you. I have a copyright on the poem, just in case someone thinks of passing it off as their own.
