It was not an HBO film after all

This will be an independent feature film based on an eBook called "Losing Addison," about the bond between twins and the death of one of them. My part in this was one scene, coming out of a church sanctuary and stopping to mime chatting with another extra. I got there and 12:30 and was released by 3:30 or so. I could have stayed another night and worked again tomorrow for a court house scene, but really wanted to get home. So I drove through rush hour Portland this morning in a (sometimes) driving rain, to get home and relax. I met a number of nice people, including a young Portland film maker who wanted to know if I was interested in doing more acting. These things are always networking opportunities. Whether anything will come of it, who knows? I really must get GPS on my phone, since a turn in the wrong direction cost me an hour getting to my daughter's house.

@JamesHxstatic - I will have to start watching for your face to pop up in a movie. I have another friend in his 70s, the husband of a friend of mine, who has been working as an occasional extra in movies. I have seen him a couple of times. It is fun! Try using WAZE on your phone. It changes the directions based on how heavy the traffic is on certain roads. It will take you where you are going the quickest way possible. It is free and a great App.

@jstory07 - Yes, we have found it to be very reliable. The more people who use it in a community, the better it is.

I got lost in Seattle once. I went over with some friends. The next day I went to a writer's meeting. Had no trouble getting there. But when I went to go back to where I was staying the onramp to the freeway was blocked off. I tried following the detour but ended up going north when I wanted to go west. I finally got off that freeway and consulted a map (this was before GPS). So I gave it another shot and ended up going south. And people giving me direction didn't help either. Eventually I found the right freeway and got back to the place I was staying without any more problems.

It is so frustrating when that sort of thing happens.

Portland is a busy place. I have to go there for nearly every job I get.

Glad you enjoyed the work. My sister has just lost her twin (our brother). I'm sure it's a bit different to just losing a sibling.

Oh I recall you wrote about that. Losing a twin is apparently quite a shock to the survivor.

@JamesHxstatic She seems to be taking it well. Being blind and nearly 80, we are just happy he went in his own home and so peacefully. He had a real dread of having to go into full-time care. I'm sure it is still pretty hard for her, more so than for me.

That was so cool. So, would you do again? There was a film made here in Jerusalem many many years ago and cannot remember what it was about. David Soul was in it and Sir Lawrence Oleviai. Sir Lawrence was not good with his lines so had to keep doing it over. I was an extra in it. It was kind of fun to do that.

No, it is not. My daughter I would be there in 15 or so minutes, so I had to call for help.
