I really got behind

With the power going out so many times yesterday, I got behind. I could not be here. I could not do any other online work. It was too dark in the house to do dishes. I could not turn the oven on to cook. So I am up early today, trying to catch up. I am thankful the storms have moved on out.

I had problems with my Chrome browser yesterday. I switched to Firefox to continue working with myLot, but it's so slow.

I have not tried working with Chrome browser, but that is what my new phone wants. I usually am on Firefox.

@GardenGerty FireFox is slower, my husband says it's a safer browser, but I like the speed of Chrome.

Let hope the weather and the internet remain fine for you. I got trouble with our internet at the beginning of this month. So far so good otherwise.

For the most part our internet stays good. It is fiber optic and once in the last two years something messed that part up.

@GardenGerty Sometimes I think modern technology is like a dog (even cats) chasing its own tails, thinking, 'eureka, I've got it!' (I have become more philosophical from watching our kitten doing just that, gleefully found its own tail and bit it happily! )

I hate being without power. It's an addiction I can't do without. Nice to have it back now I bet.

Yes, it was so very quiet. No refrigerator or freezer humming in the background, or radio or television. Too dark to read, too lazy to go light candles.

Happy for you that it passed over and you can get caught up. Did you? What did you do doing the storm?

When hubby got up from his nap we went out of town to eat and get the things he forgot to buy on Friday. It is Sunday morning now, I am up, have hot coffee and I have a load of dishes in the dishwasher. I am getting caught up on notifications here and other online places that I need to work as well.

@GardenGerty well that was a good idea to go to where the power was working. Getting caught up can sometimes be the normal for many but it is good feeling to get things completed.

Glad your power was restored quickly and that the storms have moved on. It is fixing to be stormy here

I hope you are safe. We do pretty well except that we are so rural that the lines need more maintenance.

It would not bother me so much if I did not have to go to work on Monday morning.

It was not out for long in the scheme of things. One winter areas around here lost power for 9 days to ice.

Glad your power is back on and you were safe through the storms. They are headed our way especially tomorrow afternoon in to the evening. Have a blessed day

It did not seem windy enough to damage lines, so I am wondering if somehow moisture got into the system. We have had several brief outages in the county this last week.
