A Halloween Nightmare

Twenty-five years ago today, Yoshihiro, who was an exchange student from Japan, attended a local Halloween party in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Mimicking John Travolta’s ensemble in Saturday Night’s Fever, Yoshi rang the doorbell of the wrong house, started his dance routine, and scared the wits out of the owner’s wife who called her husband. The husband came with a .44 Magnum revolver and yelled ‘Freeze’. Unfortunately, 16 year old Yoshi failed to understand the word and kept walking towards the house instead. The owner shot him in the chest, killing him instantly. A horrible incident which has scarred people despite the years gone by. Be safe, all and ‘Happy’ Halloween.

Sad isn't it! Poor Yoshihiro! I didn't know this case at all, but I read of other cases which young children went trick or treat just in the neighborhood, and never be seen again.

That is some story. Did it really happen? I think that the man should not have fired but instead shut his door and called the police to take care of it.
