Mildred the Cat - beware feline friends - stay inside this Halloween night...

Hi everybody. It's Mildred the Cat. Happy Halloween to all humans who celebrate. To all my feline friends, stay inside tonight, especially you beautiful but often misunderstood black kitties. Canine friends, to play it safe, stay inside as well. This is no night to be outside, with all the ghosts and goblins and who knows what else will be out there.
Fun as Halloween is for some, it can be a mighty scary and dangerous night for us. I will be hiding under my mom's bed until tomorrow morning. My mom has been instructed to not answer the doorbell tonight and to bring my chicken treats upstairs for me.
So, all my friends and fans, stay safe. Stay inside. Stay away from strangers. I wish you well.

Yes, but cats want to trick or treat with their kitty bags to get cap nip and other goodies.

Not this one! My mom keeps me well-supplied with all kinds of treats so I don't have to do scary things to get them.

@JohnRoberts I will have to speak to my mom about Tweety Birds. I haven't heard of them and do not want to miss out on anything I might like!

We don't get many trick or treaters in my neighborhood anymore, which is good for me. My mom decorated the house with real pumpkins, which is enough Halloween fun for me!

Thanks for the invite! I would love to visit England but I'm not sure my mom would let me fly alone. She's too afraid to fly!

Pretty little Mildred. I even managed to get our rather wild Saia kitty in the house tonight. We're country people right now so not too many wild kids out. I found old hamburger in the freezer- Saia had a couple of bites. Beau Teak tossed his share around and Sonny James just stared. The dogs gobbled their beefy treat. Happy Halloween, Mildred.

@LindaCPearson On a bad day, I hid under the bed. Mom hollered at me, saying that somebody called a Sheriff had told her to get out cause something called a fire was close. I was too scared so I shivered under the bed. Mom and Dad came back the next day and calmed me down- from Sonny. (No fire, whatever that is that got Mom upset.)

Thanks and I'm glad to hear you and your furry friends stayed safe and had some treats. Me too! Thankfully today is less scary for me and I won't have to hide under my mom's bed.
