Could Monday Night Football be a thing of the past soon?

Since the Neilsen ratings for ESPN's Monday Night Football has taken a tumble this year, there are reports that ESPN who is owned by Disney in a cost cutting measure may decide to drop their prime time football show on Monday when their contract expires. I am old enough to remember when ABC televised Monday Night Football on a one week tape delay basis on the Southern Command Network (SCN) in Panama when the late Howard Cosell, the late Frank Gifford and the late Don Meredith called the games on television. Due to the mixture of politics and sports in the National Football League, the average sports fan is sending a message to the players and owners of the NFL that their product is going by the way of dinosaurs. Extinct. I learned after PBS Kids cancelled Wordgirl in 2015, that I had to change the fan fictions of having Wordgirl and her partner Captain Huggyface team up with the D C Super Heroes in their adventures to get my readership up.

Not to mention that Thursday Night Football could be cut down to eight games.

I lost interest in the National Felons League a long time ago.
