Hope you all are having a good Halloween. I have seen only 2 children so far. It looks like there aren't going to many children. Its sure a big change, as 2 years ago I ran out of candy. Did you hand out candy?

No I didn't since we don't celebrate the halloween. Too bad there aren't many children. Now what are you going to do with all those candies?

They will go to the library, as my daughter works there. She already took some of the candy and I'm sure its gone.

@paigea Lots of children attend the story times, so the candy will go fast. I noticed every house near me handed out candy. I'm glad to see the children on the street won't need to visit any other street.

The number of children in this part of town is low, as a lot of seniors. I'm happy to see the cute costumes.

I live in an apartment, and they have a party for the kids, I think to avoid having kids bother residents that don't want to give out candy. I personally find it fun to give out candy.

I have lots left. Many of the children go to the mall to trick or treat in this area.

I ran out of candy and had to turn off the lights! Some teenagers stole the bucket of candies I left out!

Two years ago I went though 6 bags, so big change now. More children going to the mall for trick or treating and parents aren't driving their children to lots of streets.

I lived in the country and there were never many trick or treat children; however, we brought dinner home from one of the houses for a lot of years. The families all picked a house to cook for and it was fun.

@Fishmomma That sounds fun.

That made me sad in my moms neighborhood when I was in college i would come home to hand out the candy and the kids were all growing up. so we would get fewer and fewer trick or treaters. Sad :(

The parents come with their children. so am glad to see involved caring parents. Many of the children did come from the area, as many people on this street are seniors.
