My Wedding Makeup

While relaxing with my hubby last night, I asked him what he had thought of the makeup job I had gotten for our son's wedding. I was a bit shocked at his reply.
He told me it wasn't as vivid as the makeup I had at our other son's wedding, and although I looked fine, he didn't like it as much.
How about that?
However, he did like my hair. I told him it was better than his hair, lol, and he replied, "Grass doesn't grow on a busy street!"
Men! Gotta love them!

I think you look fantastic. I don't wear makeup at all, although I suppose I will have to when my sons get married.

@DianneN Well I wouldn't say that, but for me makeup is not important. I have a friend who doesn't leave the house without makeup and so she looks not so good without it. Me I look the same every single day. I do like to tease my gf about her makeup lol.

I can look like a million dollars and he would say something like that too.

Men are different to us in that respect.
We have to tell them they look wonderful even if they don´t and at least I have to do that with mine.
Make up only enhances us and cheers us up when we have doldrum days.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I don't tell mine he looks wonderful to cheer him up. I compliment him when he deserves it. lol
I love makeup. It certainly adds some life to my blandness.

At the end of the day, as long as he still thinks of you as his beautiful bride, and loves you unconditionally--with or without makeup--then all is right with the world!

As always you looked beautiful. I don't wear a lot of makeup so I am really looking forward to getting my hair and makeup done for my daughters wedding. It will be such a treat.

This was not what I expected to read. I think it is neat that he is okay with vivid makeup. A lot of husbands are not.

I'm really surprised that your husband wasn't as impressed with your makeup as he was with your first sons wedding. I didn't even think men paid that much attention but I think you look stunning in your photo
