Hi to all mylot Founders, Creators, Admins and Friends! Since Halloween ended and November started, Another Holidays will be coming soon Christmas & New Year! I know not all will be celebrating Christmas but most of us will be into New Year. Right? How do you celebrate Christmas? For Christmas Celebrators: When my late father was still alive, I always feel the Christmas spirit comes because he loves to put out our old Christmas Tree and decorate our house with his creative art works like making the christmas looks like a tree with a snow Then every morning he plays a Christmas music from "Ray Conniff" Oh! How I miss my dearest Father Do you prepare Christmas Decors at home after Halloween? For New Year Celebrators: When I was young my father prepares for new year only when it`s nearly a week away as he always do some fireworks for us to see on the New Year! Fountains, Little firework exhibitions and some handy looses with matching toy trumpet noise How about you? How do you celebrate New Year? Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all! We celebrate both Christmas and New Year. For Christmas we usually have lunch with our family. We celebrate New Year alone, sometimes going outside to dine and to wait midnight. I decorate for Christmas the 6th of December, day of St Nicholas.

I only decorate for Christmas in December. I don't understand the point in rushing to decorate. I do love the lights on the tree most, they add a cheer . New Year, sometimes I will spend it with friends and sometimes with family, depending on if I want to stay home or go out.

Oh great! Thanks for sharing I love to prepare it early because it reminds me of my late father who happened to be happy preparing those tree and decors our home while playing some christmas songs and now I understand why he loves it early because it brings happiness to family

We decorate the house but we don't go all out with the decorations. For years now, we've celebrated New Year with a group of friends but this year some are away so we might have our own celebrations here.

@m_audrey6788 I really don't like spending a lot on decorations. I always think about how many kids could be given a meal with the money I'm spending on tinsel or whatever.

@m_audrey6788 Yes New Year Kochi Carnival is famous
Main Attraction: A massive procession of caparisoned elephants, games and partying If there is one festival the whole of Kochi impatiently awaits every year,...

It is very nice to enjoy the decorations it is always kind of sad when it is time to take them down, but one holiday at a time for me. I really dislike to see stores decorating right after Halloween. It is like there is no Thanksgiving anymore? Thanksgiving is such a family oriented holiday like Christmas, and should not be overshadowed or passed over. Seems like the only reason for stores to celebrate Thanksgiving is to have a black Friday shopping sale. But that is capitalism for you. Anyway, I decorate the first week of December and take them down sometime in the first week of January (to enjoy them as long as reasonably possible). By the way, this post is a bit early we just finished with Halloween, lol (just kidding Simplyme). Enjoy your decorations and traditions. They are precious!!!!

Oh Thank you for sharing your points of view but as you said Thanksgiving is like Christmas and I feel the same. That`s why having decorations after halloween is also feeling the spirit of Thanksgiving where it`s celebrated at the same way as Christmas that only differs with giving gifts Anyway, My real reason on having it early is my memories with my father as he always prepares it as soon as Halloween passed by because he wanted to feel the positive feeling that Holidays is coming soon

@dgobucks226 Yes and he wanted everything be in a positive feeling before the Holidays comes as we all strive and prepares for its coming in a joyful one

Most times these days, just stay home. Maybe go to the bar for one year or a friends house another, but most times its not really a big deal. More of a reason for people just to drink and be merry.
