Wow, it's almost time to put the cowbell away. I know that JJ is happy about that, because I'm messing his life up with every song I post, putting the sound of a cowbell from another song into his head! Fear not, there's just one to go after this one. Here's today's song that features the cowbell in some capacity. #2: Givin' It Up for Your Love - Delbert McClinton I used this one in my "favorite one-hit wonders of the 80s" song list. John was shocked that McClinton, who is downright legendary in the Texas, red dirt, and Americana music scene (or whatever you want to call it), only had one top 40 hit. This was it. Man, what a great, high energy, bluesy rock song!
