I Have a Serious Case of OCD

Yes I admit it, I have OCD, Obsessive Christmas Disorder. It usually starts right after Halloween and only gets worse. In my case, it doesn't end until Candlemas Day which is in February. Today I went to TJMAxx and Marshalls to look for my flannel sheets. I didn't find them at TJMAxx but I did find a Christmas doormat, metal Christmas tree, Christmas Tablecloth and two small Christmas gifts. I admit it, I have a bad case of OCD, I will probably start filling out my Christmas cards this week and wrapping the presents that I have already bought. The picture is my new little metal Christmas tree. I love it. I put trees in every one of my rooms, even the bathrooms.

Wow. I love your playful spirit. And I'm over here thinking that I will not bother with a tree this year.

Oh no!!! I need to send you some of my spirit, I don't really do a big tree anymore, but lots of medium and small ones. I have two fiber optic ones that I love and I don't decorate I just plug them in. So easy to put away at the end of the season.

@BelleStarr You're giving me ideas. My hall bathroom needs jazzing up. Maybe I should put a little tree in there or even hang some Christmas ornaments on the mirror.

Its cute! My mom and I shop for Christmas year round, and have already wrapped everything we've bought. Christmas cards will be done in the next week here too.

That is the best way to do it, that way it is not a burden but a joy.

@Courtlynn I meant a financial burden, people who wait til the last minute to buy everything often find it one.

I really like that metal tree and the decorations. Our Christmas ends on 6th of January officially with the arrival of the Three Kings From Orient Are. Spanish children love the Three Kings always and also have Father Christmas to top it. November the 29th is the first holiday to do with Christmas celebrations here that being San Saturnino Patron Saint of Navarra.

@BelleStarr Thing is that there are six whole weeks of celebration that never stop for some. Any other days added on would be too much and I really love Christmas. In the six weeks coming up after the 29th there are special dates for all the Saints and they are a holiday too.

My friend the Catholic priest, Fr Je always says the season ends on Candlemas so if I can extend it the extra month, I do.

It was nice having Christmas Decors after halloween but I don`t know that there are sickness like that Anyways, I also do love to do Christmas decors for the purpose of feeling the spirit of the coming holidays and remembering my late father who was more happy doing it along time ago and enjoys it

I am never put off by the decorations, I love every minute of the Christmas season. I am just sad that my youngest grandchild is already 6 and he is the last one I will have. I do have the great grands but it is different.
