Is it wholesome to loose a bf on christmas?

They say that when you loose someone close to you on christmas theres always a chance to be sad and not happy. If so how could anyone avoid such distressing moments?

well if you stick with your boyfriend just because its a holiday, wont you feel rotten too? id rather spend my christmas alone rather than extremely stressed and irritated with a man i dont like. i'll just greet the new year with a new resolution to look for a better one.
