Picked Up My Christmas Bags and Tags

I am ready to start putting some of the gifts that I have already purchased into gift bags. Yesterday, when we were out and about, I stopped at Ocean State Job Lot and purchased about 20 of them. I got mostly medium sized ones but also 5 large ones and two small ones. I really should look at the gifts that I have purchased first before I buy the bags but well.... I didn't. When I mentioned this at cards on Tuesday night, the fact that I was ready to bag my gifts, one of the ladies said they would get dusty if I did it this early. This surprised me wouldn't the gifts get dusty anyway in the bag or not? But I guess my house isn't particularly dusty, I have never found this to be an issue. How about you, some members I know wrap as soon as they buy gifts, are you an early wrapper or a last minute wrapper?

I do a lot of my shopping on either QVC or Amazon so no energy involved at all. I do get gift cards for my oldest grandson and my older granddaughters.

It is much harder with small kids, hiding the presents is an issue!! I never realized my nosy kids went up in the attic and checked out everything I bought, I thought I was so smart!! NOT!! lol

I shop and hubby wraps, I think that's fair, and besides I am such a lousy wrapper lol. I went to an estate sale a few weeks ago and there was a ton of gift wrap, bows and tags for like 2 bucks, I bought everything. So now I have enough for several Christmas's

That's funny. My partner is the one who's absolutely hopeless at wrapping. I once saw an article on gift-wrapping and it advised for an awkward-shaped object, make the wrapping easy by putting it in a box. It didn't say what to do if you can't even wrap a square box!

@BelleStarr @ Fleura Yup I don't want to run out and then have to pay full price for wrapping paper. And I can't even wrap a square box nicely. But I figure what the heck they are going to rip it all apart anyway, but my hubby does do a nice job, and I hate wrapping so thankfully he will do it.

Neither one nor the other. It all depends if I have enough money for presents in the first place so I always have to wait to be able to get out to go and buy anything like gifts.

I'm always saying I'm going to shop and wrap early but usually I'm a last minute for everything. Maybe if I had a better idea of what to buy everyone I'd shop and wrap earlier.

I listen to what is said at every family gathering looking for ideas and I shop the after Christmas sales as well. Sometimes I will watch QVC for a couple hours and come up with some good ideas.

@BelleStarr - I am just about ready for Christmas. We are going to be celebrating with half my family over Thanksgiving, so I had to be ready early.

@BelleStarr I have plastic tubs that I store things in and I've forever going through them trying to find something But at long last I'm now writing the contents of each one and slipping it down the side where I can see it without opening them up.

I buy my gifts when our 13th month is released in the first week of December. I love doing it that way, because I can feel the Christmas season by going to the mall with lots of people buying gifts.

I got a very early jump on my Christmas shopping, and as a result, I need to either wrap or hide all the presents I've gotten so far so that my kids don't figure it all out. I'm pretty excited about this Christmas, because every year I have trouble finding gifts for my teenage daughter. She never asks for anything, so it makes it hard to know what she likes. But this year, I bought her a very nice MacBook Pro laptop (and it set me back a pretty penny), and I know for sure she'll love it and get many years out of it!
