telling the truth(lie)or make him-her happy? which one ?

you had this experience before. and sometimes you had to tell a lie maybe.
i mean,your friend ,family member or your partner asked you about his dress,make up or new tshirt..
but it was seriously awfull,so what did you do..
i think some of us are just tell a pink lie and make them happy,
and others tell the truth even not caring how they feel sad ..
which one are you??

i agree with you.personally i tell the truth but if the person is my wife,i tell pink lies.lol

It is always better to the truth. But, it should be situation based. We can not follow it irrespective of the situation. This suits best between two close friends. But, the golden principle is telling the truth in a different way without hurting others.

So does a pink lie fall in a different category than white lie? 
I always prefer telling the truth but will try my best to do it in a polite and friendly way.
