I'm sorry I didn't mean to annoy you!

Though it happened some years ago I still feel sorry about this mistake I committed inadvertently. A friend from England had come to stay for some days in our charitable home. I was speaking to him about the sweet birdsongs I hear at dawn. Unfortunately, he had woken up to harsh cawing of crows that morning. He was annoyed to hear about birdsongs and his reply showed it. I was sorry I had annoyed him without meaning to do it. Well, doesn't it happen sometimes?
