Do you know someone who lives in the past?

I live in the present and enjoy everyday. Now there are those people who are just unhappy and revert to the past. Some people being my mother and my very good friend.
I can't wrap my brain around why you can be so unhappy and talk about the past or want that back. Iam happy for being alive as that can be taken away from you at any time.

I do and i dont get it either. I love in the here and now. Sure i have lots of good memories but this now and yes like you said it call all end very quickly.

Agree, we look at the memories. But don't base life now on it. Have some fun times now or do what you want now. My mother conatantly brings up things from the past. I see it as she is so unhappy.

When I was a teenager back in the 90's, my best friend's grandfather lived in the past.
It's typical for the elderly to talk about the good old days. But this was beyond normal. He'd constantly talk about the old days. He drove lots of people crazy because he talked about it so much, including me.
He really had a problem. It was sad, especially considering that back then he still had his health and looked younger than he actually was (he was in his seventies at the time).
