Hello, dear friends. This morning I went to buy some paint for my living and dining rooms. I took a big nap after lunch as those morning outings tire me a lot. After I woke up, I went to check on the veggies with Leticia. The radishes are ready to eat. I ate 2 and they were delicious! The radishes are there while the zucchini plants are small. But they are slowly growing so they will have to be pulled out soon. The tomato plants are thriving. Soon I will have to find some canes to hold them up. The kale can be cut and eaten now. It is a pity that the lettuce did not come out. I will try to sow some more seed and maybe I´ll get a few. I know that most of you are heading for winter. Do you have any winter veggies that you have around this time of the year?

Broccoli and maybe Brussel Sprouts I think and we might be very luck just to get them fresh and in good condition. Artichokes are few and far between as to yet and the green beans are mouldy with black and white spots on and exhorbitant price too. Then they bombard us about eating fresh ha. Hope those tomatoes come out good. Here they have not been too bad touch wood.

I can buy them but not have them in my garden. The 2 times I sowed Brussel Sprouts, they were eaten by lots of bugs.

@marguicha What a shame. We love them. But, but sometimes they sell them here very tiny and almost gone off already.

We can buy a lot of different veggies from the store and they come from all over the place. We have to wait for next Spring before we can think of putting seeds in the garden

For me it was a nice hobby until I had to have chemotherapy. The only raw veggies I could eat were from my house (no pesticides).

Most of the vegetables we're eating now, are squash and zucchini. They are the tale end of our produce, until next Spring.

We can eat zucchini all year, but not from our garden. But they are inexpensive enough so that it doesn´t matter.

No winter veggies here but i do enjoy the fall of the year when the veggies are all fresh here. Nothing beats fresh veggies that you grew yourself.

I agree. I hope the tomatoes will be as good as they are now, while still too young.

when the weather is cold, supermarket veggies become redundant. The usual are kale, spinach, lettuce , cabbages and eggplants
