40 yr old smoker, overweight and always tired

Haven't worked out in years, and it shows and I feel it how would I go about starting a work out program -- I do have a step, weider weight bench and a total gym and how about a food program

I agree with everything the above poster said, but also do you plan to do anything about the smoking? It probably has a lot to do with you tiredness too.

Start by elimating the small things that you wouldn't miss much, like for instance switching from regular drinks to diet or less calorie ones, then slowly increase your amount of activity, like on your first day of exercise you could walk 15 minutes then in the next day or two increase it to 30, and keep increasing it. And by all means go to your family Doc and get a physical to make sure you are healthy enough to start a work out program.
