Today is world diabetes day. Over 415 million adults around the world are diagnosed with Diabetes, and it is one of the world's fastest growing chronic conditions. This Comes about when there is either not enough insulin (a hormone that regulates blood sugar produced by the pancreas) to break down the glucose, or the insulin produced doesn't work properly. Good Health, well-being and diet are some of ways you can prevent or delay the onset of this disease. I once had a student in my former school who had High sugar and low sugar in her body and i did experience the problems she encountered all the time in school. As an administrator in the school i would panic anytime she went down with it. We always had sugar around her in case of an attack or Coca cola. Start spreading awareness today and join the fight to Beat Diabetes.

@nangayo I think more are known these days where years ago no one thought kids would get it. The way people let their kids eat these days is the cause of some of it.

@nangayo I've seen a slideshow on diabetes and its origins. Children have had it for a couple centuries that they are aware of.

Hectic for a small kid. I hope she does everything to control it.

I had a girl in work that would have attacks sometimes. It is scary if you don't know what to do for them.
