National Public Radio just woke me to a blessing.
This activist, this singer and peace worker is still with us and going strong. Seventy five years old, suddenly Buffy Saint Marie's voice exploded out of my radio.
She's Canadian. Probably a has been and maybe not known about by younger folks. Sure good to hear her voice. She's got a new album coming out! She is a voice for the indigenous people.

I haven't heard about her in decades, her voice is strange which I never actually liked and her popularity here fizzled long before the 1980s
As for standing up for her people, , I just wish more would stand with her, maybe then the rich white man will stop ignoring the plight of OUR planet.

I've never heard of her, but I can imagine the excitement of hearing someone we have admired for a long time speaking on the radio.

@cahaya1983 Well, Buffy influenced Elvis. She even won an Oscar.

@cahaya1983 Elvis Presley sang some of her songs. I'm pretty sure you've heard of him.

@andriaperry Have you heard of Pete Seeger? She is in that crowd; folk singer who also wants a better, more peaceful world.

@peachpurple No. Its a lady singer. She was more well known back in the 60s. She wants people to be peaceful and not go to war.
