I Knew I was Right Not to Like Her.

First met her when she worked in the supermarket. Always friendly and polite, I was surprised when she totally ignored my smiles and thanks. This made me uncomfortable over time. Then she was gone. However she turned up at the local bakery with the same attitude towards me. She was different with others; not so much friendly but at least polite. i avoided that shop as a result. The other day, I wanted something specific from the bake shop, there she was at the sandwich counter making someone's lunch. She was using tongs but arranging meat and tomato with her bare fingers. Then, she accepted money from the customer and gave change then went on to the next customer. Feeling ill, I left, thinking to ring and speak to the store owner but I forgot. I will do it though. If there is no change I will ring the council health department.

Some times these things have to be done. I hope you follow through with both.

Do it, the money is full of germs and she risks to transmit a disease to the customers.

The concern of transmitting germs in a sandwich shop is huge. I'm surprised she hasn't been spotted by her boss or someone else.

@MsTickle I fully agree with you and I cannot believe how her boss did not notice.

That happens to often that I have seen where they handle food and money at the sane time. I've seen wearing gloves handling food then handling change with the gloves on them going back to handling food with the same gloves. Obviously they missed part of the training on handling food properly.

i hear you. That's just ridiculous. They should be using tongs for the food, separate ones for each food. That's how i was taught when i learned food handling.

She seems to haven't taken a food hygiene training course. You had better report her to the council health department.

Yes. It would be derelict of me not to do so.

Yes, it's a small town with only a few shops and the bakery is important.

That is not a good work ethic at all. I wonder what 'floats her boat' as they say? I hate dealing with people like that.

Yikes that's really unhygienic. You should really let the store owner know. Imagine how many people could get infections.
