Some people should never have pets

I get upset when I read stories like this, it almost made me cry. A woman abandoned her 2 year old dog at an airport in Colombia South America. The poor dog wandered the airport for a month. The poor thing was so distraught that when airport personnel tried to offer him food, the dog wouldn't eat any. So, he became malnourished and died right there in the airport before anyone could get Veterinary help for him. Does this not sicken you? How could anybody be that mean to a helpless animal?
A dog who  was abandoned by her owner at an airport has died of a "broken heart". The dog, called "Nube Viajera'' or Wandering Cloud by the vets who treated her,  spent a month wandering around the terminal at Palonegro airport near Bucaramanga, Colombia h

Yes I hate stories like this. However the airport personnel made a mistake too they should have called animal welfare people.

Why not take the dog to an animal shelter. The poor dog probably wondered what he did wrong..

@kobesbuddy Yes, you have heard the stories of dogs not wanting to leave their master's graves.

It is a pity, he wandered there for a whole month before he was noticed.

That is true. Maybe some of the people at first thought he was a stray.

That is horrible, my newest dog Roscoe was found abandoned in a park in Hartford, CT and he is the most loving little dog that I can't imagine anyone not wanting him.

That is so sad. I couldn't ever do that to my dogs. I have a lot and at times they get on my nerves, but I love each and every one of them.

Why didn't the airport personnel call an animal shelter sooner? After a couple of days it should have been picked up. If the owner gave a damn then it could have tried to find the dog. I blame the airport just as much as the owner @LeaPea2417 .

I don't like to read how animals have been abandoned. It makes me very angry and I have said before if people do not want to be responsible for their pets they should not have them. If you want to go away someone and you cannot take your pet with you then make sure you have someone responsible to look after them or do not go.

How could it possible that none of the security guard notice of the poor dig for a month ? The dog owner would receive retribution when the time comes

The person could have taken the dog to the place where lost pets are taken instead of just living it at the airport. Very bad.

That's stupid of that pet owner. Why such people have pets when they can't take care of them. I never owned pets because I know I don't get time to take care of them.

This saddens and sickens me in equal measures. Dogs are so trusting I find it inexplicable that people can mistreat them! I have many ideas for very inventive and painful punishments for people who do this sort of thing!

The poor thing. Guess the owner migrated and didn't know what to do with the pet.
