Being remembered for the good things you did, not the bad things.

People are more often remembered for one single good thing or possibly many bad things they did while they were alive.
In history it is the lucky few who are most popular to the millions that have their names and good deeds done or bad deeds we would only like to forget.
Will you and I go down in history for our great accomplishments?
Maybe. The odds are that unless you get noticed in Hollywood as a famous person you will likely only become a statistic.
So is it all bad?
I mean, if we slide through this world as a statistic, don't we want at least, those who know us in our own inner circles, remember us by the good things we did and said? Sure.
For those in the lime-light, one single bad action can destroy you for good as far as history paints you for it. Even if you did 1000 good deeds, that one sorry act of stupidity could ruin things for you for as long as history can make record of it.
So, being an unknown is actually a pretty damned good thing IMO.
A community of documenters. Journeymen & women looking to redefine success through storytelling.

I just hoped to remembered by those who knew me when I was still alive as a kind person, just somebody whose simply been good and kind to others.
As for those who are remembered for that one wrong deed instead of their 1000 good deeds, well I think that's how life and people are its like having a clean, white sheet of bond paper. Instead of seeing the cleanliness of the sheet its the very small, minute dot or spot on the paper that people would notice.

Yep. It can be that way at times. Not a good thing to put one bad action over all the hundreds of good actions in a whole life time. People need to know both sides of a person's life, not just what gossip talk is all about. And rumors and hear sayer talks.

I think you will be remembered in a positive way since you are working on being a decent person like you said and trying to be even a better person. That is a good thing.

That is excellent. It means you are not a show off. And being humble is what is best because looking for a pat on the back or Ata Boy is for those who feel inadequate and want to be constantly praised for their actions. Do you know any one like that?

As you say Anthony do many good things and it is hardly noticed, but do 1 bad things look out! Famous or infamous perhaps flying under the radar is the best way to be.

I would never want to be famous. Every move you make is analysed and in these day, not very nicely. I'm just happy that the only really good thing I've accomplished is to have my children, who are great human beings.

What is the great thing have we done to be in limelight? I was never in the limelight. I do not want to be. People if they remember me if I have done anything good or bad depending on how they feel about it.
