At work we get all type of people. Iam on the border of the city so that means the rude ignorent entitled type. A kid came in between 12 to 15 years. He asked for the bathroom. He came out and goes to buy two chocolate bars. He had a handful of change. He shorts me $1. So i say it nicely do you have another dollar. He replies no, and goes to grab the bars and walk out. I grab them and say ypur missing $1 for the $4.30. He huffs and goes well i don't have it. I said well i can't finish the sale until then. He goea fine just this one. So i ask him if he has 80 cents change vs the $2 (he had a handful of change). Rolls his eyes and goes no i dont. Give his change back and goes to pick up both chocolate bars. I grab the one he didnt pay for and put it behind the counter. He huffs and rolls his eyes. As he walks away says 'b171tch'. I couldn't believe how rude kids are. My parents would of taken me out in the store. His mothee just stood there like nothing happened. But this is the next generation. Thede goea our work places, homes ans communities.

I can't believe his mom didn't do anything. She should have. I wouldn't let my kids act like that. My parents wouldn't have let me either. Not every kid is like that though. Only some. I try to remind myself of this.

Not all kids his age are like that. I know quit a lot of kids that would not do that.

what makes it worse is how parents don't even react, just like his mother did. i'm glad you're alert and assertive. do you ever have to pay when you're short? (because here i know cashiers and tellers do)

His mom saw everything and did nothing? That's just horrible. I think it has a lot to do with how they're raised. There are city kids his age who are very polite because they were taught those values at home.

That's just nasty. I'm glad he didn't pull a knife on you.

@ricki_911 I like your idea. Of course a boot camp to the butt came to mind but I know what you mean.

Honestly, I prefer not thinking about this.
